A biopsy equipment intended to enhance the quality of medical services provided at the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital has been given to the Mombasa County government.

Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir said at the medical equipment’s launch that the minimally invasive treatment of prostate problems will be greatly aided by it.

According to him, it would also let physicians do guided biopsies, which would produce more accurate test findings for cancer treatment.

At a cost of Ksh.16.5 million, AstraZeneca and Mediglobe Solutions donated the contemporary equipment.
