For women, finding the ideal bra can be extremely difficult. All women can relate to this challenge; the list of problems is endless and includes things like a tiny cup size, a tight underwire, a cup size that fits but the band size is incorrect.

The search for the ideal bra is made much more challenging by the additional intricacy of changing bust sizes during the menstrual cycle.

Women with extra-large breasts find this battle especially difficult because they suffer from ill-fitting bras that don’t offer enough support for their breasts. They might have persistent shoulder, neck, and back pain.

Back discomfort problems can be lessened or even eliminated, according to research from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). This is because wearing an expert bra can provide better breast support.

In this evidence-based study, twenty-four women with cup sizes D or larger participated. Instead of the conventional 2D measurements, they employed 3D measurements of breast height, breast volume, and body frame.

The purpose of the wire-free bra is to offer comfort. It features an underband that is positioned diagonally to support and elevate the breasts lower on your back and higher on your chest. Because your lower back has stronger muscles than your shoulders and neck, this causes the weight to move there.

Consistently wearing a bra that is too small can lead to pain, discomfort, and even bad posture.

According to the researchers, there is a clear correlation between improved bra fit, more breast support, and less pain.

The medical team goes on to say that hiring a professional fitter is a more affordable option than buying a bra from a fancy retailer.

The study also found that, even with a professional fitting, only 70% of bras fit correctly, and that the professionally fitted bras—which were bought from high-street retailers—provided less breast support after just four weeks.

The findings are notable and the researchers hope that they will inspire women everywhere who battle on a daily basis with pain brought on by huge breasts and are unable to find relief from ill-fitting bras.
